The stunning Seteais Palace is now part of the Valverde group

The five-star unit is housed in an 18th-century palace, which after serving as the official residence of the consul, and the private residence of the fifth Marquis of Marialva, was reborn in 1955 as a hotel.

After almost 70 years under the Tivoli brand, the iconic Palácio de Seteais hotel now belongs to the Valverde group. With this addition of luxury in Sintra to the portfolio, the hotel group also consists of the Valverde Lisboa Hotel & Garden, on Avenida da Liberdade, in Lisbon, the Condes de Azevedo Palace, in Porto, and the Valverde Santar Hotel & Spa, in Viseu (which opened in the summer of last year).

The rebranding took place on January 1, 2024, after the Valverde group was the winner of the first international public tender for the concession of the hotel operation of the Palácio de Seteais, which will last for the duration of thȩ30 years old, they said in a statement, given that the palace is owned by the Portuguese State.
